The primary responsibility of the Build Engineer is to work with other team members in development, support, and QA to establish and maintain a source code control environment. The Build Engineer will be responsible for maintenance of Perforce server backend under Windows/Linux. The Build Engineer ensures that all products are built, packaged and released consistently in accordance with established process. The Build Engineer will be responsible for development and maintenance of InstallShield, RPM and PKG. installation packages.
•In charge the release management on Vidiator products and solution using source code control environment (eg. CVS, Perforce, etc) and defect management system.
•Establish and manage the environment for building the release kits on products in Windows, Linux and Solaris based products.
•Automate the build and packaging process.
•Manage and generate software builds and packages to QA and Production.
•Manage the environment to cope with concurrent releases from requests on different application teams.
•Establish and enforce configuration management policies and procedures.
•Develop and maintain InstallShield, PRM, and PKG packages.
•Execute Build Verification Test to ensure validity of builds and packages.
•Publish and manage SW products to company FTP/Website.
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent) required.
•At least 3+ experience building and packaging SW components in Java, and C/C++ using using CVS, Perforce, DevTrack, InstallShields and technologies like ANT, XML,.Net, MSVC, Sun Java, Python, and other scripting languages.
•Strong networking and administration background w/ ability to build and run a configuration lab on Windows, Linux and Solaris independently.
•Experience developing, maintaining, and building installation packages using InstallShield, bin, RPM, and PGK.
•Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
•Effective in fast paced environment and ability to multi task.
•Comfortable working with remote engineering and management teams.
•Creative and effective problem solving skills.
•Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

•Solid experience with Microsoft Office tools.
•Strong understanding of software development, test methods and techniques.
•Experience with writing test plans and test cases.
•Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Korean language is an advantage.

•Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin is preferred.
